This is just cruel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">&#8220;No one I&#8217;ve ever met wants to stay on SNAP for life. They need it to make ends meet. I sure didn&#8217;t come to Washington to take vital assistance away from working people at the same time big bank CEOs nearly crash the economy and get to jet off to Hawaii scot-free.\u00a0I cannot in good conscience support a debt ceiling proposal that pushes people into poverty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">&#8220;We&#8217;re already addressing SNAP in a bipartisan way in the Farm Bill. But with default looming, jamming through harmful cuts to that program is reckless. It&#8217;s time to stop playing games and guarantee the full faith and credit of the United States.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false}}
