WASHINGTON, DC \u2013<\/b><\/span> Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Fetterman today released the following statement celebrating United Auto Workers\u2019 recent tentative agreement with Ford on a four-and-a-half-year contract:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen workers fight, workers win. And what\u2019s good for workers is good for America.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis deal is a huge victory for the thousands of UAW workers who stood up and demanded a share in the massive profits that they create. It\u2019s also proof that paying these workers what they deserve is possible \u2013 despite what the CEOs, Wall Street traders, and Jim Cramer want us to believe.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s time that General Motors and <\/span>Stellantis<\/span> follow Ford\u2019s lead, put real money on the table, and treat their workers how they deserve.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Senator Fetterman is a fierce advocate of the union way of life and has been standing in solidarity with UAW members since day 1 of the strike. Fetterman has visited five UAW picket lines in three states over the six weeks of the strike, <\/span>including<\/span><\/a> the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI, on the very first weekend of the strike. In that time, he also <\/span>introduced<\/span><\/a> a congressional resolution in solidarity with striking UAW members and\u202f<\/span>published\u202f<\/span><\/a>an op-ed on MSNBC about the ongoing strike against the Big 3 and his support for the striking workers.<\/span><\/p>\n
