{"id":2675,"date":"2025-01-28T19:04:31","modified":"2025-01-28T19:04:33","slug":"fetterman-on-freezing-of-federal-aid","link":"https:\/\/www.fetterman.senate.gov\/fetterman-on-freezing-of-federal-aid\/","title":{"rendered":"Fetterman on Freezing of Federal Aid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Today, Senator John Fetterman released the following statement in response to a Trump administration order that froze federal financial assistance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cI am closely monitoring the repercussions in PA as a result of the federal funding pause.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cMy office just received calls from over a dozen PA organizations, including one that serves both&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&#x1f534;<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&#x2795;<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&#x1f535;<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;low-income families, and their access to funds through the Federal Payment Management System have been cut off.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWe\u2019re also aware of reports of PA\u2019s Medicaid portal being down.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cThese services, including Medicaid, are critical to our most vulnerable and I am calling on the president to immediately restore access.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false}}
