TOLEDO, OH \u2013 <\/b><\/span>Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Fetterman today joined striking UAW workers in Ohio, at the Chrysler Toledo Assembly Plant in Toledo and the <\/span>Stellantis<\/span> Part Distribution Plant in Streetsboro, where he continued to pledge his solidarity to the cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the rally in Toledo, he spoke with union members, talked to local press, walked the picket line, and gave remarks to the crowd.In his remarks, he thanked the members for their hard work, called for fair wages and benefits, and mentioned that despite the Ohio workers not being his constituents, he was fighting for them because the union way of life is a \u201cnational, critical issue.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to keep on showing up, wherever it is, and do whatever it takes to stand with all of you. We have a four-hour drive home, but that\u2019s a small price to pay to be here with you today.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to visiting with workers in Toledo, Fetterman also visited the UAW members on strike at the <\/span>Stellantis<\/span> Part Distribution Plant in Streetsboro, Ohio, where he addressed workers and walked the picket line with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today\u2019s visits mark five times that Senator Fetterman has joined the UAW picket line since September 16<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>, when he drove his drove his UAW-made Ford Bronco from Braddock, Pennsylvania, to Wayne, Michigan, to join striking workers on the picket line on the first weekend of their strike at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant. Recently, Fetterman has also joined striking UAW workers at a GM facility in Langhorne, PA, and UAW workers who are on strike against MACK Trucks in Allentown, PA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several weeks ago, Fetterman <\/span>published\u202f<\/span><\/a>an op-ed on MSNBC about the ongoing UAW strike against the Big 3 and his support for the striking workers.<\/span><\/p>\n
